How we verify every watch before you buy it

Buying a pre-owned luxury watch comes down to one question: is it what the seller says it is? We answer that question before a watch is ever listed, not after you have paid. Here is exactly what happens to every watch we sell.

1. An expert looks at it first

A watchmaker or third-party authenticator inspects every watch. Not a quick glance at photos, but the watch itself, in hand.

2. The serial number and reference are verified

We check the serial number and the reference against the brand, so the watch is the model it claims to be, from the period it claims to be from.

3. The box and papers are checked, or we tell you plainly

If a watch comes with its box and papers, we check that they belong to it. If they are missing, we say so upfront, in the listing and in our conversation. You never find out afterwards.

4. The case is opened and the movement inspected

The movement is the engine of the watch. We open the case and inspect it, because what is inside matters as much as what you see.

What you see before you decide

Before you commit to anything, you receive extra photos or a short video, and every question is answered. Take the time you need; there is never any rush to decide.

A certificate, if you want one

A certificate of authenticity from a third-party authenticator is available on request, for an extra cost.

Why we work this way

More than 500 watches sold, and the same rule every time: every watch verified, every client given our time.
